Chiropractic care is a natural, non-invasive form of healthcare that focuses on the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine, to improve overall health and wellness.
At Illawarra Chiropractic, we offer a range of services designed to support your health and recovery. These include chiropractic treatment, dry needling, soft tissue therapy, taping and rehabilitation exercises. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, with a focus on improving function, relieving pain, and supporting long-term wellbeing.
We offer on-the-spot claiming through HICAPS, allowing you to conveniently use your Private Health Fund card at the time of your appointment—simply pay the gap.
We also accept Medicare referrals under the Chronic Disease Management plan, provided by your GP. These visits are fully bulk billed, meaning there’s no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients.
Additionally, we are registered providers under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Treatment Program and proudly support eligible veterans with their care
It is not required but if you have any of the following, bring them along to your appointment:
When preparing for a chiropractic appointment, comfort and flexibility should take top priority. Appointments may involve lying face down, stretching, chiropractic adjustments, and other movement-based techniques, so it's important to wear clothing that allows for unrestricted mobility. Loose-fitting garments are generally ideal, as anything too tight may restrict movement or feel uncomfortable—especially while lying on the treatment table. Depending on the area of concern, your chiropractor may need easy access for examination and treatment. For example, shorts are helpful if you're being treated for lower limb issues, while a tank top may be more appropriate for upper limb conditions like shoulder or neck discomfort.
Yes, we are SIRA-registered to provide chiropractic services under the Worker's Compensation scheme in NSW. This ensures we deliver care aligned with regulatory standards and guidelines for injured workers.
If you're attending your appointment under a Compulsory Third Party (CTP) or Worker's Compensation claim—whether you're a new or returning patient—please ensure you bring the following details with you:
Having these details available during your first visit after injury helps us support your care efficiently. If you're unable to bring this information, please speak with our receptionist to discuss what steps to take next.
